Dr. Jonathan Psenka, Naturopathic Physician


Dr. Jonathan (aka. Jake) Psenka received his bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Montana.  While studying animals was both interesting and rewarding, Dr. Psenka was increasingly drawn towards studying a holistic approach to human health.  After finishing his undergraduate degree Dr. Psenka enrolled in Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona.

Upon graduating from naturopathic medical school Dr. Psenka co-founded the Issels Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  Originating in Germany in the 1950’s, the Issels Integrative Immunotherapy Model was one of the first truly integrative cancer treatment models- utilizing the best of both alternative and conventional medicine.

In 2007 Dr. Psenka began recruiting some of the top naturopathic physicians in the country and started Longevity Medical Health Center.

Dr. Psenka has always been actively involved in his profession, serving as both a board member and the Vice President of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association.

In 2010 Phoenix Magazine recognized Dr. Psenka as one of the Top Docs in Arizona.

More recently, Dr. Psenka co-founded Serologix, LLC, a company offering patient-specific sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) allergy treatments for allergy sufferers.

A frequent lecturer, Dr. Psenka has often lectured at medical conferences on topics including integrative cancer therapy and allergy immunotherapy.  He has also taught at the university level, including instructing 4th year medical students for his alma mater.  Dr. Psenka is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, the Michigan Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Wilderness Medical Society, and the American College for the Advancement of Medicine.

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Psenka is a certified wilderness first responder, and has recently begun pursuing fellowship status in wilderness medicine from the Wilderness Medical Society.
